Chairperson

Malini is an experienced Chair of high-level events ranging from inter-ministerial dialogues, sessions of the World Economic Forum at Davos and Delhi, United Nations and other bodies. She has chaired sessions of the ministerial Petersburg Dialogues on climate change in Berlin, hosted by the Government of Germany; and the World Commission on Environmental Law in the State Court of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

 

Most recently she moderated the launch of the United Nations’ flagship report on global risk, the Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction 2022, with UN Deputy Secretary General, Amina Mohammed, and UN Special Representative of the Secretary General for DRR, Mami Mizutori. Malini also chaired the opening High-Level Panel of the UN’s biannual Global Platform of Disaster Risk Reduction 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.

 

Malini is presently also the Chair of one of Europe’s leading sustainability think tanks, the Institute for European Environmental Policy UK, and has chaired the anti-slavery, children’s rights organisation, Rugmark UK.
